This year 2002 is the year of the Golden Horse. Like all the Chinatowns world wide, the Chinese in Myanmar celebrated this auspicious festival with fireworks, fire-crackers and the symbolic Lion and Dragon dance. |

To add more events to this festive season, Yoma Bank and Traders Hotel, Yangon have jointly organized a special promotion to welcome the Golden Horse Year. Yoma Bank set up a booth in the lobby of Traders Hotel to promote the Bank's various innovative banking products and services. | |

The booth was tastefully and beautifully decorated with the Chinese New Year décor to bring good luck and prosperity to both the Bank and Trader's Hotel. To further make this occasion more joyous and meaningful, Yoma Bank and Traders Hotel held a Lion and Dragon Dance in Chinatown, Yangon. The 50-boys troupe displayed an exotic and entertaining performance to the downtown Chinese community. Free packets of oranges and ang-pows (red packets) were distributed to the general public as a gesture of appreciation for their continued support. We are proud that Yoma Bank is the first bank in Myanmar celebrate Chinese New Year with the general public. |
